The Navajo, who call themselves Diné, occupy the second largest U.S. reservation which covers portions of their traditional homelands in northeastern Arizona, southeastern Colorado, and northwestern New Mexico. These historic songs of the Diné were recorded from the late 1950's to 1974 by noted singers Kenneth White, Sr., Edmond White, and the acclaimed song and dance troupe Diné Ba'Aliil of Navajoland, U.S.A.
