The area now bounded by Kathryn, San Mateo, Gibson, and Kathryn at Washington south to Gibson. After some ownership disputes in the early 1900s about a land patent issued in 1908 by President Theodore Roosevelt, a plat was filed February 11, 1931 for the Ridgecrest Addition, planned by S. R. De Boer.
