(1930-2020) Santa Fe millionaire, collector, and art dealer who said that he in 2010 hid a chest of treasure, including gold coins, figurines, and other valuable artifacts, in a location north of Santa Fe. The clues to the location of the treasure (later reported found) are featured in his book, Thrill of the Chase: a memoir.

Went on to serve for three years as a very popular weatherman on an Albuquerque station; he proved so popular that a competing station sent tapes of his weathercast to stations nationwide, hoping he might get hired out of the Albuquerque market. (1877-1955) Roswell. Area historian; served as professor of History and head of the English Department at the New Mexico Military Institute. Author/editor of numerous books on area history including Roswell in its Early Years and Pat F. Garrett's Authentic life of Billy the Kid and History of the Lincoln County War. Edited the writings of Theodore Roosevelt, and editor of two volumes of Josiah Gregg's diary and letters of Paul Horgan. The Maurice Garland Fulton Collection of New Mexicana is maintained in the Special Collections of the Albuquerque / Bernalillo County Library.

(1930-2014) Fairacres New Mexico. Attended high school in Las Cruces; degree from New Mexico State University. Worked at the El Paso Times for over three decades, becoming the first female editor of that publication. After retiring from the paper, taught at New Mexico State University and wrote editorials for the Las Cruces Sun-News. Author of The Caregivers: El Paso's medical history, 1898-1998.
