The Erna Fergusson Library is located on the east side of San Mateo Blvd between Comanche Rd and Montgomery Blvd.

By Bus

The nearest bus route is Route #140/141: San Mateo. The northbound bus stops right in front of the library. For the southbound bus, get off at Comanche and walk about a third of a mile to the library. Plan your trip here.

By Car

Freeway Directions from I-40:
Take I-40 to the San Mateo exit and proceed northbound. The Library is located one block north of the intersection of Comanche and San Mateo. Turn right on Palo Duro NE and then left into the parking lot. The entrance is on the east side.

Freeway Directions from I-25:
Take I-25 to the Montgomery exit. Proceed eastbound on Montgomery to San Mateo and turn right. Proceed southbound on San Mateo for a half-mile. The Library will be on your left before you get to Comanche. Turn left on Palo Duro NE and then left into the parking lot. The entrance is on the east side.

Surface Street Directions Southbound:
Take southbound San Mateo.  Look for the Library on your left a half-mile past the intersection of San Mateo and Montgomery Blvd NE.  Turn left on to Palo Duro and then left into the parking lot. The entrance is on the east side.

Surface Street Directions Northbound:
Take northbound San Mateo. Look for the Library on your right one block north of the stoplight at Comanche NE. Turn right on to Palo Duro and then left into the parking lot. The entrance is on the east side.

Erna Fergusson has one meeting room that will hold a maximum of 45 people. Policy, rules and required forms for using the meeting room may be found at Meeting and Study Rooms as well as a list of meeting rooms at other branches.

Study Rooms

Erna Fergusson has two study rooms. One will hold a maximum of 6 people and the other, a maximum of 12 people. The study rooms may be reserved (call 888-8100) up to one week in advance for no more than two hours per person/group a day. Check in at the Information Desk with your library card to gain access to the study room.

Fiction To Go  We are a Fiction to Go location! What is Fiction to Go? The Friends for the Public Library sells slightly used, recently published fiction titles for $2 for hardbacks and $1 for paperbacks. Like all funds that our Friends receive, all proceeds from Fiction to Go sales benefit the Public Library!

Join us on the 2nd Monday of the month for Maker Monday. Over the months we will offer a variety of projects that focus on hands-on exploration, construction, building, basic science principles, arts and crafts.
