Raised in New Mexico. Teacher in the creative writing department at Princeton University. Works have appeared in numerous nationwide publications including The New Yorker and The New York Times. Winner of numerous awards including a Wallace Stegner Fellowship at Stanford. Author of a novel set in New Mexico, The Five Wounds, and the short story collection Night at the Fiestas.

Northern New Mexico. Ph.D. in American Studies from UNM. Author of several works, including the mystery novels Bad Medicine and the award-winning The Death of Bernadette Lefthand, both set in New Mexico; and a book about ranch life, I See By My Get-Up.

Former Madrid resident, journalist & winner of the first "Turner Tomorrow" award for Ishmael; novelist of My Ishmael: a Sequel and A Newcomer's Guide to the Afterlife and The Story of B. Writes on ethnopsychology, human ecology, reincarnation, religion, and philosophy.

Albuquerque-born, Raton-raised, former lecturer in the English Department at UNM, English professor at the San Diego Mesa College, winner of an NEA award & the National Book Award. Short story author of La Promesa & Other Stories, author of several collections of poems, including The Great Whirl of Exile, The History of Home, My Hair Turning Gray Among Strangers, and Sangre.
