- Yarberry, Milton J.AKA: Milt Yarberry. (?-1883) New Albuquerque's first police officer, installed in 1880 as Constable of Precinct 12 but colloquially referred to as "the town marshal". Hanged for murder in 1883 after several controversial trials, one of the cases involving the possible abuse of his powers to remove a romantic rival. The execution was presided over by Sheriff Perfecto Armijo.
