(1843-1942) Photographer/artist who photographed in New Mexico and the Albuquerque area in the late 1800s. Significant work from a visit in 1881, many of which images he gifted to the New Mexico Historical Society; these images later became the backbone of the collection of the Museum of New Mexico. Revisited New Mexico in 1899, focusing on Acoma and Laguna Pueblos, and again in 1902-04 where he featured the Alvarado Hotel complex.

(1846-1901) Albuquerque's first mayor after its incorporation in 1885, serving for the one-year term common then. Came from Germany, establishing stores in Colorado, Las Vegas New Mexico, then into Albuquerque. Helped establish Albuquerque's first synagogue in 1897.

(1891-1982) Painter. Moved to New Mexico in 1924; in 1934 began teaching art at the University of New Mexico. Co-founder (with Emil Bisttram) of the Transcendental Artists Group in 1938. In 1950 was named UNM's Permanent Artist-in-Residence. Jonson Gallery on the UNM campus named for him. Received the Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts in 1975.

Producer, director, writer, animator, musician, voice talent. Grew up in Albuquerque, attending Highland High School and St. Pius X High School. Noted as creator and star of the animated TV series "Beavis and Butthead" and "King of the Hill", and involvement in popular films such as the "Spy Kids" franchise.
