Public Computer Workstations

All Public Library branches have computers open to the public with Windows 7 operating systems and Microsoft Office 2013 with access to the Internet, electronic databases, learning platforms such as Lynda.com and Learning Express. All locations also offer free Wi-Fi access. Note that when accessing through Wi-Fi or offsite, many learning platforms and library services require login with library card and PIN.

USB drive A USB flash drive (also called a thumb drive) will be required to save documents, photos, music and other files. Customers will not be able to save work on the desktop or hard drive of a public workstation.

emailAn email account accessible by the student may be required.

laptopPersonal laptops are required for some classes.

mobile devicesMobile devices such as smartphones, eReaders, MP3 Players and iPads are used in sessions about downloading digital media.

Call your local branch to make an appointment to accommodate your schedule. Most classes require advance registration.


Alamosa:

One-on-One. Call 836-0684 to schedule an appointment.

Central & Unser:

One on One. Thursdays, 4 pm to 5 pm. Walk in computer help, no reservations needed.

Cherry Hills:

One-on-One Tablet Help. Fridays, 9 am. Call 857-8321 to register, or click the Register link in the event listing on the Cherry Hills event calendar.

East Mountain:

One-on-One Tablet Help. Fridays from 12 noon to 1 pm. Call 281-8508 to schedule.

Erna Fergusson:

One-on-One. Tuesdays, 1 pm and 2 pm. Call 888-8100 to register for a class.

Juan Tabo:

Morning classes. Thursdays 10 am at the Holiday Park Community Center.

Lomas Tramway:

One-on-One. Call 291-6295 to schedule an appointment.

Main Library:

Walk in computer help. No reservations needed. Sessions are limited to two customers at a time with our trainer. Wednesdays, 11 am to 12 noon and Thursdays 3 to 4 pm.

Rudolfo Anaya:

One-on-One. Thursdays, 11 am and Saturdays, 10 am. Call 897-8823 to schedule an appointment.

San Pedro:

One-on-One, Spanish help available. Call 256-2067 to schedule an appointment.

South Broadway:

One-on-One. Second Thursday of the month, 4 – 5 p.m. A one-on-one help session for those needing technical support with eBooks, eAudiobooks, and other digital media. Bring your device/laptop. Registration is required. Participants must have a library card in good standing. Call 764-1742 to schedule an appointment.

South Valley:

One-on-One, Bilingual English and Spanish. Thursday at 11 a.m., 5:30 pm and Saturday at 10 am. Call 877-5170 to schedule an appointment.

Taylor Ranch:

Drop-in Gadget and Computer Help   adults
Help with personal devices (tablets, laptops, etc.) as well as basic computer assistance. Participants should bring all cords for personal devices and should also have a flash drive for saving work. Wednesdays at 9:30 to 11 am at Paradise Hills Community Center and from 11:30 - 1 pm am at the Don Newton / Taylor Ranch Community Center. Call 897-8816 with questions.
