Public Computer Workstations
All Public Library branches have computers open to the public with Windows 7 operating systems and Microsoft Office 2013 with access to the Internet, electronic databases, learning platforms such as Lynda.com and Learning Express. All locations also offer free Wi-Fi access. Note that when accessing through Wi-Fi or offsite, many learning platforms and library services require login with library card and PIN.
Bottled water is the only food or beverage allowed in Public Library buildings.
Public computer use requires a valid library card with computer access enabled. Please bring your card and PIN number.
Bring paper and pen for keeping notes.
A USB flash drive (also called a thumb drive) will be required to save documents, photos, music and other files. Customers will not be able to save work on the desktop or hard drive of a public workstation.
An email account accessible by the student may be required.
Personal laptops are required for some classes.
Mobile devices such as smartphones, eReaders, MP3 Players and iPads are used in sessions about downloading digital media.
