Can I request an item my library doesn't have?

Can I request an item my library doesn't have?

There are two ways to get items that the Public Library does not currently have.

  1. Interlibrary Loan (ILL): Interlibrary Loan is a cooperative service among libraries for obtaining materials not available in local library systems. Items requested are located, ordered, and, if available for loan, shipped by mail or other delivery services to your local library. ILL service is available to New Mexico residents with full accounts in good standing. To submit an ILL, submit a signed Interlibrary Loan application form in person at any branch of the the Public Library Albuquerque/Bernalillo County.
  2. Suggest a Purchase: You can suggest that the library purchase materials via this form. We will consider purchasing titles suggested through this form, but we can't guarantee that they will be purchased. If you are requesting that we purchase an eBook or eAudiobook, please log into Libby either in the Libby app or on the Libby website and recommend the title there
