NewspaperARCHIVE Library Edition is an online database that provides searchable access to newspapers dating back to the 17th century. Every part of every page is searchable, including valuable local articles, advertisements, editorials, classified ads, and obituaries. The collection contains more than 130 million digitized pages of content from over 6,000 newspapers throughout North America, the UK, and other select countries worldwide, including 128 different newspapers from across New Mexico. This service provides researchers with greater opportunities for longitudinal and comparative analysis of historical events and people, and is a great source of information for genealogists.

Card holders can download the free hoopla digital mobile app to enjoy thousands of titles – from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers – available to borrow for instant streaming or temporary downloading to a smartphone, tablet or computer.
hoopla digital has a simple sign-up and easy-to-use interface; it’s easy to get to your listening and viewing experience. There’s also no waiting to borrow popular movies, TV shows, albums or audiobooks. Hoopla digital’s automatic return feature also eliminates late fees.
Freegal is a free music service which offers download or streaming access to more than 9 million songs and over 15,000 music videos, including Sony Music’s catalog of legendary artists. In total the collection is comprised of music from over 28,000 labels with music that originates in over 100 countries. Freegal works with almost all computers, players, tablets, and smartphones. No special software is needed, but there are Apple and Android apps available for a more mobile friendly experience. To access your Freegal benefits, your library account needs to be in good standing. You can download 3 songs per week and stream 3 hours per day using your library card number and PIN to log in.

Need a special occasion cake? Try one of our more than 30 different specialty shaped cake pans. We have a wide variety of licensed character pans and other special shapes like hearts and giant cupcakes. Cake pans check out for 3 weeks, and are limited to one per card.
The ABQ-BERNCO Seed Library was established in 2014 and has as its mission to encourage a community of water-wise gardeners and seed savers. In line with our mission, we aim to provide the access, tools, and skills to enable all Albuquerque citizens to participate in this community. We provide free seed to Public Library card holders and offer free programs to foster all levels of gardeners through growing, harvesting, and seed saving—all within our unique high desert environment.
