Freegal is a music service which offers access to over 16 million songs, including Sony Music’s catalog of legendary artists, and over 40,000 music videos. In total the collection is comprised of music from over 93,000 labels with music that originates in over 100 countries. There is no software to download, and there are no digital rights management (DRM) restrictions. Freegal works with most computers, players, tablets, and smartphones. No special software is needed, but there are Apple and Android apps available for a more mobile-friendly experience. You can download 5 songs per week and access to unlimited daily streaming using your valid library card number and PIN.
Naxos Music Library[NML] is the world´s largest online classical music library. Currently, it offers streaming access to more than 175,774 CDs with more than 2,740,187 tracks of both standard and rare repertoire. Over 600 new CDs are added to the library every month.
The library offers the complete Naxos and Marco Polo catalogues plus the complete catalogues or selected titles from over 800 record labels, with more labels joining every month. Along with classical music, jazz, world, and pop/rock are also represented.
NML can be accessed from any computer, anywhere, anytime. With the iPhone/iPod and Android mobile apps, subscribers can also access the service on the go, and the HTLM5 player can stream music though the standard internet connection of the most phones and tablets.
The contents can be searched by composer, work, genre and label; by keyword search; and by a sophisticated advanced search engine with up to 13 combined search criteria. In addition to allowing subscribers to listen to recordings, NML provides liner notes for many recordings. Listeners can create personalized playlists or use predefined Naxos Music Library playlists.
